Kerry Group has announced its milk price for supplies in October, revealing a held price on last month’s figure.

A spokesperson for the group said today (Tuesday, November 17) that the base price for October milk supplies is 31c/L, including VAT, the same as last month’s price.

The spokesperson added: “Based on October milk solids, the price return, including VAT and bonuses, is 39.67c/L.”

Kerry’s announcement comes the day after Dairygold revealed its price.

Yesterday, the board of Dairygold said it will pay a price of 31.75c/L, including VAT and quality and sustainability bonuses.

Like Kerry, this price is held on the price offered last month for September milk.

These announcements from Kerry Group and Dairygold make them the latest processors to issue their prices for October milk supplies, following similar announcements by Glanbia and Lakeland last week.

Last Tuesday (November 10), Glanbia became the first processor to set its milk price for October supplies, also revealing an unchanged figure.

Glanbia will pay its member milk suppliers 31c/L including VAT for October creamery milk supplies at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein.

Glanbia Ireland will pay a base milk price for October of 30.18c/L including VAT for creamery milk at 3.6% fat and 3.3% protein.

On Thursday (November 12), Lakeland also revealed a held base price, as well as a lactose bonus.

In the Republic of Ireland, a base price of 32c/L including VAT will be paid for milk supplied to Lakeland in October. A lactose bonus of 0.28c/L applies this month.

Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland, a base price of 26.55p/L will be paid for October milk.
