Members of An Garda Síochána have issued an appeal for information after a Toyota Hilux was stolen from a property in Co. Longford earlier this month.
Taking to social media earlier today, Monday, July 27, Gardaí based in the area stated:
“Gardaí in Co Longford are appealing for information following the theft of a silver Toyota Hilux crew cab, which was taken from Ballinamuck, in north Co. Longford, on Tuesday, July 14.
The 2007 registered Hilux pick-up – the same make and model as the one pictured – was stolen at approximately 4:00pm from Creelaghta, Ballinamuck.
“Gardaí in Granard are investigating and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating this vehicle and returning it to its owner.
“Anyone who may have noticed vehicles in the vicinity of Creelaghta on July 14, or who may have information or video footage of the stolen Hilux are asked to come forward.
“Those with information can contact Granard Garda Station on: 043-6687660; call any Garda station; or phone the Garda Confidential Line at: 1800-666111,” the Garda statement concluded.
Trailer stolen in Kilkenny
Meanwhile, Gardaí have urged the public to be wary of any offers to buy a trailer “probably at a reduced price”, following the theft of an implement in Co. Kilkenny recently.
Taking to social media over the weekend, local Gardaí warned:
“Detective Gardaí in Kilkenny are investigating the theft of this Ifor Williams trailer from the Cuffesgrange area of Co. Kilkenny.
“Any information [should go to] Kilkenny Garda Station at: 056-7775000. Remember; if you are offered this trailer for sale, it will probably be at a reduced price – [so] please report.”
