Lely is inviting farmers to attend an open evening today (April 7) to demonstrate the Lely Lotus and is offering one lucky farmer the change to win the use of a Lely Lotus tedder for this year’s silage season.

According to Lely, its Lotus range of tedders has reduced farm feed bills over the past 50 years and to show how it can work for you it has organised a demonstration in the Paddocks Arena, Broomfield East, Midleton, Co. Cork.

The open evening will take place from 5-9pm this evening (April 7).

The success of the Lely Lotus tedder started 50 years ago, with the invention of the Lely Double Hook tine and, since then, its engineers have been designing the world’s fastest and most reliable tedders.

The company says that the capacity and tedding quality of the Lely hooktine have never been equaled due to the positioning of the machines tines.

Lely reports that the unique hook-shaped tines ensure that that the Lely Lotus machines handle at least 50% more crop than conventional tedders.

And the tedder range also gives the farmer more of an opportunity to control the dry matter range of crops to always ensure the best results.

Along with Lely tedder demonstrations, there will also be presentations from the Lely Farm Management Support team throughput the evening on ways to reduce feed costs.

The Lely team will also be on hand to talk to anyone interested in robotic milking or automatic calf feeding.
