Farmers are being asked to help raise cancer awareness and show their support for the Irish Cancer Society (ICS) by painting their farm gates pink.

In addition to its call on the farming community, MSD Animal Health is making a financial contribution to ICS in support of its fundraising efforts.

Seamus Maguire, General Manager, MSD Animal Health, said MSD is calling on farmers around the country to join us in marking ‘Paint it Pink’ month by adding a splash of colour to their farm gates or land.

“Cancer touches the lives, and affects the extended families, of so many Irish people today. MSD Animal Health is delighted to support ICS this month in raising awareness of an extremely deserving cause.”

Earlier this year Dairygold teamed up with the Irish Cancer Society for a new initiative called ‘Wrap it Pink’ to raise cancer awareness in rural Ireland.

Farmers all over Ireland were encouraged by Dairygold to wrap their silage bales in pink, in what was a hugely popular initiative.

The Irish-made baling wrap was available through Dairygold Co-op stores and for every bale of wrap purchased a donation will be made to the Irish Cancer Society.
