Dairygold has confirmed that it is selling Creamery House in Buttevant, Co. Cork.
The guide price for the sale of the property is €210,000.
The Georgian-era house is located on Main Street in Buttevant. It is a former residence associated with Dairygold's retail operations in Buttevant, and is no longer required for the business, the processor said.
Dairygold said that the sale is in keeping with its "ongoing strategy of maximising the value of its commercial property portfolio", and selling non-core properties "at an appropriate time".
"As a historic and prominent property in Buttevant, we believe it presents an excellent opportunity for a new owner," Dairygold said.
The processor also said the sale includes a selection of outbuildings and a garden area.
The property is on the N20 between Cork and Limerick, which goes straight through Buttevant.
The house features a drawing room, a dining room, a utility room, a kitchen, a living room, and five bedrooms.
In other recent Dairygold news, the processor has teamed up with Teagasc to launch a new four-year joint programme aimed at supporting Dairygold milk suppliers in building profitable and sustainable dairy farm businesses.
According to the co-op, the initiative represents "a significant investment" in the knowledge, skills and future of dairy farming across the Dairygold catchment area.
The programme will run until 2029 and focuses on four priorities: strengthening farm profitability through technical expertise and advisory services; enhancing environmental sustainability; supporting succession planning; and long-term farm viability.
The initiative will include a farm network of eight farms located across the Dairygold region.
Dairygold said that the demonstration farm network will play a key role in showcasing productivity gains on farm and overall best practice.
The processor said that its suppliers across the region will have opportunities to engage through farm walks, workshops, technical consultations, innovation events, videos and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.
