The team here at Agriland.ie would like to wish all our readers a very happy and safe Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2016.

2015 was a phenomenal year for Agriland. We cemented our position as the largest daily farming news publisher in Ireland and are the number one destination for farmers and agri business people to keep up to date with what’s happening within the industry on a daily basis.

Our news app which, in the past week, we updated once again remains the most downloaded farming news app in the country in 2015.

However, none of this would be possible without the unbelievable support of you, our readers, so thank you one and all.

In addition, thank you for spreading the word to other farmers about Agriland.ie and what we do – the feedback from the agricultural community has been great.

The other amazing stand out point of 2015, was the number of readers who got in touch with news, stories and pictures, or just to say hi, please continue to do so, the more you can give us, the more we can give you back.

We are always delighted to get feedback, both good and bad, so send us a tweet, a post, or give us a call, we look forward to hearing from you.

For much of the industry, 2015 will be characterised by poor returns for farmers hard work and toil. The team here continue to be inspired by farmers positivity and dedication to their work in the face of the significant challenges this year.

There’s just one thing we’d like to ask of all our readers in 2016 – be mindful of safety when you are working. Once again, 2015 has seen too many people lose their lives in farming related accidents. Covering such tragedies on Agriland has become far too common and remains a task which all of the team here continue to dread.

Much like everybody in the industry our thoughts and prayers this Christmas are with those families suffering as a result of a farm accident and we urge all farmers to make a special effort to be more safety conscious in 2016.

From all the team here at Agriland.ie have a happy Christmas and a healthy 2016.
