Tonight (Monday) will be mild, mostly dry and cloudy with patchy rain or drizzle along western coasts, Met Eireann says.

There will be minimum temperatures between 6 and 8 degrees Celsius, it says.

Tuesday, it says, will be very mild and mostly dry while the northern half of the country will be mostly cloudy, with some rain and drizzle. This will mainly affect the northwest and northern coastal counties.

It says sunny intervals will develop further south, in Munster and south Leinster.There will be maximum temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees Celsius, in a moderate southwesterly breeze, it says.

On Tuesday night, it will be mild and mostly cloudy with rain turning persistent and heavier in western and northwestern coastal areas, but most other areas will be dry, Met Eireann says.

Looking to Wednesday, it says it will be mostly cloudy with rain and drizzle extending from the north and west. It says brighter conditions will follow with a few isolated showers.

Wednesday night will be mostly dry and clear, with frost and fog in places, it says.

Currently Met Eireann says Thursday will be mostly dry and settled with some sunny spells and light easterly winds and it will be a cool day with maximum temperatures reaching 13 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to improve for Friday and the weekend with maximum temperatures of 15 degrees, it says.
