Carbery Group has announced its milk price for supplies in May, deciding to maintain its price.
The processor said that if this is replicated across the four west Cork co-ops of Bandon, Barryroe, Drinagh and Lisavaird, this will result in an average milk price of 40.8c/L, remaining in line with the previous two months.
This milk price is inclusive of VAT, the 0.5c/L somatic cell count (SCC) bonus and the FutureProof sustainability bonus.
The maximum FutureProof bonus available from Carbery Group for 2026 is 1.25c/L.
The FutureProof and SCC bonus figures are quoted excluding VAT.
Carbery said the actual average price paid for May milk, based on actual solids, is expected to be 42.57c/L (including VAT).
A spokesperson for Carbery said: “Dairy markets remain challenging with ongoing pressure from global supply dynamics.
"Maintaining our milk price reflects Carbery's commitment to supporting our farmer shareholders during the peak production season.
"The Stability Fund contribution will remain at 2c/L for the month, supporting returns to suppliers despite ongoing market volatility."
Other processors have also announced ther milk prices in recent days.
Tirlán confirmed it has set a "floor price" of 38.08c/L, including VAT, for June, July and August milk supplies.
According to the co-op this includes a 0.5c/L sustainability action payment and will be in place "barring unforeseen events".
The Dairygold board confirmed it has increased the May quoted milk price by 0.5c/l to 37.5c/L.
According to the co-op, the May milk price equates to an average farm gate milk price of 41.9c/L for the month - based on the average milk solids, achieved by Dairygold milk suppliers.
Kinisla, the dairy processor previously known as Kerry Dairy Ireland, said it will increase the milk price to pay 38c/L (VAT inclusive) including quality and sustainability bonuses.
Lakeland Dairies said the board has agreed to increase the price for milk by 0.5c/L for May.
A base price of 37.5c/L at constituents of 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein will be paid for May milk in the Republic of Ireland.
