Aurivo holds milk price for October supplies

Aurivo has become the latest processor to reveal its milk price for October supplies, announcing its decision to hold its current price.

Following a meeting of its board, the Sligo-based cooperative made its announcement today (Wednesday, November 18).

Aurivo will pay its suppliers a price of 31.5c/L including VAT for last month’s milk.

This is unchanged from its September figure. Aurivo’s announcement follows price statements from Kerry, Dairygold, Lakeland Dairies and Glanbia in recent days.

Barlow has been a member of the Aurivo board since 2014 and took up the role of vice chairman in July 2016. He was chairman of the Agri-Business Sub Committee. He is a dairy farmer from Riverstown, Co. Sligo.

Garvey has been a member of the Aurivo board since 2013 and was chairman of the Audit Sub Committee. He is a dairy farmer from south Mayo.

Last week, Duffy informed the Aurivo Board of Directors of his intention not to put his name forward for re-election as chairman of the co-operative society.
