For sale in Kilagoola, Moycullen, Co. Galway is a 14ac parcel of land currently on the market.

Michelle Burke, auctioneer and letting agent, is looking after the sale. The property is described as a rare opportunity to purchase a valuable parcel of land so close to Moycullen village.

The lands are accessed just off the Ugool Road in the townland of Kilagoola and they are located in a cul-de-sac.

Moycullen village is around 4km in distance. It is near Lough Corrib, on the N59 road to Oughterard and Clifden, in Connemara. It is about 10km northwest of Galway city.

Grazing lands

The owner is selling the property as they have no need for the lands or stables, according to Michelle. It has currently been used for the owner’s horses.

The site is elevated and enjoys the most panoramic, scenic views of Lough Corrib and its environs. All of this combines to make these lands a unique and highly valuable asset.

It is divided into two: c.7ac is good quality grazing lands; while c.7ac is bogland. Included within the sale are four stables, a tack room, a hayshed and an outdoor sand arena.

“It can be used for cattle, sheep and horses,” according to Michelle.

“It would suit someone seeking extra grazing lands for animals but it would be best used for horses because of the stables, tack room and sand arena.”

The property is for sale through private treaty. The guide price is €150,000.

There has been “significant local interest” to date, commented the agent.
