A community silage weekend in Mount Melleray that had a women's silage event as centrepiece, raised €14,000 for the Alzheimer Society.
The silage fundraiser organised in Mount Melleray last weekend brought women to the fore, said chief organiser, John O'Brien.
Garda Margaret Clifford will be part of the all-female crew at the the silage fundraiser at Mount Melleray Abbey today, Saturday, August 19.
