Recent research undertaken at Teagasc, Grange, examined the carcass growth and feed efficiency of early and late-maturing suckler bulls.
Viastar - the Meath-based exporting company - recently prepared a consignment of bulls consisting of approximately 2,000 bulls destined for the Turkish market.
A tender for 100,000 finished bulls has been offered by the Turkish government. Although it's open to all "domestic and foreign bidders", it appears that the tender will be out of reach of Irish exporters.
