Owners of vacant traditional farmhouses across the country are to share in grants totaling €285,000 under a government pilot scheme.
"Farmers have a set of obstacles like no-one else when it comes to bringing these buildings back into use,” contends Maggie Molloy.
The Department of Housing has launched a pilot scheme which will provide grants to prepare vacant farmhouses for refurbishment works.
