This week's sheep trade has seen prices remain mostly firm for the start of the week with one outlet saying it will be reviewing prices.
The lack of any sustained movement in lamb prices over the last few months and instead the fall in prices has seen a substantial gap open up.
Lamb prices have moved on another 10c/kg this week, with prices not reaching as high as €7.50/kg as factories struggle to fill orders for Christmas.

Factory lamb prices over the past week at marts have taken a knock of between €2 and €5/head, as factory prices fell by 10-20c/kg
