Farmers across Munster have been urged to 'wrap it pink' to help fund life‑saving breast cancer research.
With silage season 2026 well underway Dairygold is encouraging farmers to back its 'Wrap it Pink’ initiative as part of its long-standing partnership with the Irish Cancer Society.
Now in its 12th year the Wrap it Pink campaign continues to support breast cancer research and support services, with a donation made for every roll of pink bale wrap purchased through Dairygold’s network of 26 Co-Op Superstores.
Pat Clancy, Dairygold chair, said every pink bale wrapped helps raise awareness and vital funds for a cause that touches so many families across Ireland.
“At Dairygold, we are proud of our long-standing partnership with the Irish Cancer Society and the impact that Wrap it Pink continues to deliver.
"This campaign is a simple but powerful way for Dairygold members to show their support."
According to the Irish Cancer Society, the support from farmers like Bill and Liam Foley from Windgap, Youghal, East Cork, who wrapped their silage in pink to launch the campaign, is crucial.
Claire Bowman, corporate partnerships manager, Irish Cancer Society, said: "The Irish Cancer Society is hugely grateful to Dairygold for once again championing the Wrap It Pink initiative in support of breast cancer awareness and free services.
"Each year, this partnership helps us fund life‑saving breast cancer research, provide free care and information, and ensure that no one in Ireland faces a breast cancer diagnosis alone.
"Dairygold’s continued commitment reflects the very best of community spirit and generosity.
"We encourage their customers nationwide to choose the special pink‑wrapped Dairygold products again this year. Every purchase directly supports people affected by breast cancer and brings us one step closer to a future where nobody dies from breast cancer."
