Met Éireann has cancelled its Status Yellow rainfall warning for counties: Cork and Waterford, which were due to come into place from tomorrow (Sunday, October 13).
The Munster region will remain cloudy this evening, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heavy and persistent at times, with the potential for some spot flooding.
Rain will then clear eastwards over night, with clear spells developing and patches of mist or fog will form as winds become light.
Nationally, tomorrow it will be a mainly dry and bright day with sunny spells. However, it will be cloudy in parts of the west and northwest with isolated patches of light rain and drizzle there during the morning.
It will be a milder day, with highest temperatures of 11° to 15° in a light southerly breeze.
Rainfall
On Tuesday, outbreaks of rain will move northwards to most areas and will become heavy at times especially in southern counties with spot flooding possible.
Overall, the weather will be changeable over the next seven days, with rainfall at times but also some dry periods.
Best drying conditions for the week ahead are likely on Monday (October 11) with largely dry weather, moderate breezes and occasional sunny spells. Similarly, the best spraying opportunities will be on Monday.
Most soils are saturated or close to saturation at the moment and even waterlogged in parts of the northwest, according to the national forecaster.
Soil conditions will deteriorate in the next seven days, and all well drained soils will be saturated with most moderately and poorly drained soils becoming waterlogged.
