Over €4.4m in outstanding scheme payments issued

Over €4.4 million in outstanding scheme payments has been issued by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) in the week ending on Friday, October 11.

Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS) 3 payments worth €1.15 million were issued last week, as well as €368,928 which was outstanding under TAMS 2.

Data from the DAFM show that 18,190 TAMS 3 approvals have been issued to date, with 3,445 payment applications submitted and 1,845 payments made. The total amount of TAMS 3 payments issued to date is now €18.061 million.

A total of €147,501 under the 2023 Eco Scheme was issued last week, bringing the total amount paid out to 121,413 farmers to €311.91 million, latest DAFM payment data show.

No 2023 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS) payments were made last week.

Outstanding Organic Farming Scheme (OFS) 2023 payments worth €5,420.71 were issued last week. A total of 3,918 farmers have now received total 2023 OFS payments of €48.1 million.

2024 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC) payments of over €2.67 million were paid out to farmers last week. The number of farmers paid now stands at 92,164.

The DAFM also issued €68,000 outstanding under the Green, Low-carbon, Agri-Environment Scheme (GLAS), which was replaced by the Agri Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) under the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

No payments were issued last week under the National Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme 2023, the National Beef Welfare Scheme, or the Sheep Improvement Scheme 2023.
