The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) issued over €3.1 million in scheme payments for farmers this week.

The latest data from the department shows that payments worth over €950,000 were made under the 2023 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).

This means that as of today (Friday, April 12), 119,802 have received BISS and CRISS payments totalling €825.21 million.

This figure includes 2023 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers (€30.8 million) and 2023 National Reserve (€4.3 million).

Under the Eco Scheme payment, a further €1.6 million funding was issued.

Just over 120,000 farmers have now received funding totalling €307.3 million.

Under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS), a further 36,769 farmers received support that totalled €429,698.

DAFM payments

There were no new payments made under the National Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme 2023.

So far, a total of 8,135 farmers were paid a total of €5.15 million.

There were also no updates under the National Beef Welfare Scheme, with total payments standing at €14.47 million for 16,073 farmers.

Under the Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme (SCEP), payments still stand at €51.54 million, with no new updates. 16,802 have been paid under SCEP so far.

A further €132,585 was paid out this week under the 2022 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC).

It now stands that 99,305 farmers have been paid €248.676 million.

Another €16,000 was paid out under the Green, Low-carbon, Agri-Environment Scheme (GLAS).

A further €45,627.39 was made under the Organic Farming Scheme (OFS).

No new payments were made for the Sheep Improvement Scheme 2023; Fodder Support Scheme (FSS) 2023; Shannon Callows Flood Scheme; Protein Aid Scheme 2023; Straw Incorporation Measure 2023; Tillage Incentive Scheme 2023; or the Tillage Top Up Scheme.
