A 240-sow pig farm in north Co. Cork is seeking to hire a farm manager.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience with pigs and have managerial aspirations or abilities.

Technical sales advisor

Feed, seeds and grain merchant Drummonds is looking for a technical sales advisor for its Mullingar branch.

The full-time permanent role will see the successful candidate marketing feeds, seeds and other agri-inputs to livestock farmers within a 60km radius of Mullingar.

Other responsibilities will include (among others): servicing a ledger of existing customers; providing technical advice to customers; and managing products and selling the benefits.

The successful candidate should have a good understanding and avid interest in beef, dairy and sheep nutrition, as well as other requirements. Click here for more information

Farm office receptionist/administration

Southview Veterinary Hospital in Co. Tipperary requires a friendly, outgoing person with a keen interest in farming and country life – as well as good IT skills – to join its team.

Duties will include: dealing with client calls and questions on the phone and in person; assisting in organising large animal vets’ working days and referring client questions to vets; and stock control, ordering of supplies and maintenance of records.

Required skills are a good knowledge of the agriculture industry with a keen interest in farming; and basic IT knowledge. Possession of a Green Cert would be considered an advantage. Click here for more information

Sixmilebridge Co-op Mart in Co. Clare has a vacancy for the position of mart manager, owing to the impending retirement of the current incumbent.

Head Of Ruminant Nutrition

Due to continued expansion, Agritech is looking to expand its current team with the addition of a new position, head of ruminant nutrition, to support its national and international markets.

This role is the ideal progression for a candidate who has been working in ruminant nutrition and looking to step into a more senior management level role.
