Spearheading the John Deere range of mid-size tractors are the new six-cylinder 6175R, 6195R and 6215R which have a starting price of just over €149,000.
Available from November 2014, John Deere says these new premium quality tractors feature enhanced manoeuvrability, improved operator comfort and extended service intervals. As a result, farmers and contractors will benefit from advanced performance, improved levels of uptime and reduced cost of operation.
The new 6R Series tractors are powered by 6.8-litre John Deere PowerTech PVS/PSS engines rated from 175 to 215hp (97/68 EC), which deliver an extra 5hp compared to the previous models.
John Deere says the PSS engine on the 6195R and 6215R models feature high-tech twin turbochargers, which force more air into the combustion chamber to deliver their increased power outputs. The engines’ intelligent power management (IPM) system also produces an extra 40hp boost for transport and PTO work, which is 10hp more than the previous range.
