Syngenta Ireland has appointed Bryan Kearney to its team as an area business manager.

Since joining the business, Kearney has been meeting with farmers and agronomists across the country while also coordinating Syngenta’s 2026 trials programme.

Key account and business manager, Syngenta Ireland, Margaret Murphy said: "Bryan has built a strong reputation for his technical expertise and for developing trusted, long-term relationships across the agricultural sector.

"We are delighted to welcome him to the Syngenta Ireland team."

Bryan Kearney has a masters in crop protection and agronomy from Harper Adams University.

Having built a career in agronomy with Eurofins, Kearney is described as having a genuine passion for supporting Irish farmers and helping them achieve the best possible results from their crops.

His experience has provided him with technical expertise, extensive knowledge of crop protection and a practical, farmer-focused approach.

Kearney said that he is committed to helping farmers navigate the challenges facing agriculture today by providing practical advice to improve crop performance.

Reflecting on the season so far, he said: "With optimum spray and application windows limited this season, timely decision-making has been difficult for crop management.

As the season progresses, Kearney has highlighted the importance of protecting yield potential through effective disease management.

He has advised that Angle helps keep crops cleaner from three key yield-robbing diseases: cercospora, ramularia and beet rust.
