Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning for wind and rain in the southwest of the country on Monday night (March 4).
The national forecaster said that from 7:00p.m on Monday until 6:00a.m on Tuesday (March 5), there will be very strong and gusty west to southwest winds and spells of heavy rain in counties Cork and Kerry.
The weather conditions will give rise to a risk of falling branches; damage to temporary structures and localised flooding.
Visibility will be poor and as a result there will be difficult travelling conditions on roads.

Met Éireann has said that the coming week will be changeable with showers and spells of rain.
The rainfall amounts are currently projected to range around average or slightly above, generally between 10 and 40mm.
After the recent cold snap, milder weather is forecast for next week with mean air temperatures of 5° to 9°.
Although soil temperatures are expected to fall slightly, they will still remain above average.
Met Éireann said that most areas will see further deterioration of soil conditions this week due to further spells of rain.
The forecast for today (Sunday, March 3) is for a bright day with sunny spells and scattered showers, some of which will fall as hail.
The showers will become more isolated during the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 7° to 9° in light to moderate west to northwest breezes.
It will be cold and mainly dry tonight with frost and icy patches forming as temperatures drop back to between -2° to +2°.
Cloud will build from southwest bringing rain to Munster. Light to moderate southeast winds will freshen in the southwest towards morning.
The rain and fresh to strong southeasterly winds will gradually spread northwards on Monday. Munster will get the heaviest rain and strongest winds. Highest temperatures of 6° to 9°.
