MartAid 2020 goes live as bidding gets underway

The much-anticipated MartAid 2020 has gone live – and viewers can tune into how sales are going below.

Kicking off at 5:50pm this evening (Thursday, November 5), all proceeds raised at this monster rural fundraiser will be donated to Embrace FARM in support of the work the charity does in helping those affected by farm accidents.

A number of eye-catching lots are set to be put up for auction as can be seen below.

Irish rugby legend Seán O’Brien will begin the event as special guest auctioneer – with the ‘Tullow Tank’ linking up with event organiser MartEye to wield the gavel and get the show on the road.

MartAid 2020 will be run in a relay-like schedule, with the action leaping from mart to mart across the island of Ireland, both north and south.

The mammoth mart marathon will involve the 25 marts which operate MartEye systems, each rapidly auctioning eye-catching offerings in a given slot in the event – which is expected to last well into the night.
