There were approximately 860 bullocks on offer at Clare Mart's bullock sale in Ennis on Friday (October 2).
A report issued after the sale noted that while it was a "big sale", there was "not a lot of flesh about today".
According to the report, there was "some serious forward bullocks on offer" at Ennis Mart.
A lot of bullocks weighed over 650kg, with "45 cattle making over €3,000".

The sale also saw a pen of three Charolais bullocks weighing 566kg on average sold for €2,690/head, or €4.74/kg.
A pen of four Aberdeen Angus bullocks weighing 517kg made €2,270/head or €4.39/kg, while another pen of four Aberdeen Angus bullock weighing 525kg on average went for €2,250/head or €4.29/kg.

The report also said there were “a good few lighter stores about today too".
"These met a fine trade with a few farmers getting involved," it said.
Clare Co-Operative Marts held its weekly cull cows and heifer sale in Ennis Mart on Thursday (October 1), with 515 head on offer.
The report issued after the sale said cull cows were "a serious trade" with heavier beef cows up 15c/kg on the week.
It added that there was not a lot of beef available in the heifer ring.
There were "plenty of forward heifers on offer" and these were up 10c/kg on the week.
One 520kg Limousin heifer made €2,700, or €5.19/kg.

In the cull cow category, one 675kg Limousin cow went for €2,790, or €4.13/kg, while another 735kg Limousin cow went for €2,880, or €3.91/kg.
The report also noted that there was a handful of bulls on offer.
These averaged €3.54/kg with a Limousin bull weighing 950kgs making €3,460.
