Thousands of people from across Ireland and further afield are set to flock to the Butterfield Estate in Blueball, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, for the Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show, which takes place tomorrow (Sunday, August 9).
The Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show is known as Ireland's largest one-day show, averaging 60,000 visitors in recent years.
This year's edition of the event is expected to feature 700 trade stands from agri-sectors, home industries, farm produce, innovation, forestry, agri-machinery and more.
Judging in the livestock classes is set to kick off at 9:15a.m., with judging in the sheep classes kicking off at 10:00a.m.
Gardaí have traffic plans in place and those attending the annual one-day event are asked to follow the traffic guidelines to manage the huge volumes of people set to attend the event.

The 2026 edition of the show marks the 35th year of the annual event, which has now become a mainstay in the calendars of livestock enthusiast from across Ireland and further afield.
Taking place every year on the second Sunday of August, the event sees many cattle and sheep breed societies host their national breed championships.
This year marks a special one for the Irish Hereford Breed Society as the show coincides with the 2026 European Hereford Conference which is being hosted by Ireland this year.
The five-day event will take place at the River Court Hotel in Co. Kilkenny and will include a series of farm tours as well as a trip to the Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show, where the 2026 National Hereford Show is set to take place.
At approximately 4:30p.m on Sunday, August 9, the culmination of the overall winners of each of the respective categories will take place in the the parade of the FBD National Livestock Show Champions.
Here, the specially commissioned gold and silver medals will be presented to the owners of the respective livestock show champions.
