Following the bankruptcy of crop-protection spraying manufacturer, Delvano, more than 700 lots of equipment are going under the hammer.

Founded in 1966, the Belgian company's bankruptcy was revealed last month.

The bankruptcy process was as a result of poor yields in harvests on the continent, which it's understood led to a decrease in business.

History

Delvano originated in agricultural contracting. Unimpressed by the performance of crop sprayers at the time, founder Paul Vanlerberghe set about developing a better machine himself.

As early as 1962, Vanlerberghe had developed a self-propelled crop sprayer built on a converted Fordson tractor.

This laid the foundation for the later Safe-Trac and Delvano's development as a manufacturer of agricultural sprayers.

Across three generations of the Vanlerberghe family, Delvano built a solid reputation with its distinctive blue-and-yellow crop sprayers.

In the 1980s the company introduced the hydrostatically driven Hydro-Trac, followed by further advances in electronic controls and spraying technology.

With the Euro-Trac, Delvano won a Gouden Aar award at the Agribex agricultural trade fair in 2000.

Alongside manufacturing agricultural sprayers, Delvano was also active in the sale of earth-moving equipment, including machines from Case Construction.

More than 700 lots

Online auctioneer Auctim is acting on behalf of the bankruptcy trustee.

Two international online auctions of equipment from the Belgian machinery manufacturer are being organised.

The larger auction comprises more than 700 lots of agricultural sprayers, spare parts, technical components and production equipment.

One of the highlights is an unused 2026 Delvano Euro-Trac 7000, equipped with a Volvo Penta engine and a 7,000L tank.

Other lots include several used Hydro-Trac self-propelled crop sprayers, trailed and mounted sprayers, and unfinished ST27 machines.

Also noteworthy is the extensive stock of spare parts and hydraulic components.

The offering includes pumps, wheel motors, traction pumps, control systems and other technical components.

Delvano's production equipment will also go under the hammer, including metal-working machinery, tools and workshop equipment.

There will also be some historic machinery in the auction, such as a 1960s Delvano Safe-Trac and a trailed crop sprayer dating from 1942.

Additionally, another auction featuring Delvano's vehicles and mobile equipment will take place.

Among the standout lots are a 2025 Case 721G Agri wheel loader and a Case crawler excavator.

The offering includes trucks, vans, trailers, forklifts and other professional equipment.

Both auctions open on Saturday, October 31 and close on Tuesday, November 10.
