Kverneland has introduced a new 6m f-drill model to its portfolio of power harrow drill combinations.

This latest version combines hydraulic folding with the ability to distribute grain and fertiliser, or two different seed types, at a wider working width.

Called the f-drill Plus, this new 6m folding coulterbar brings a second distribution head and pipework to power harrows.

Kverneland have said this model is "for those seeking more output when used in combination with the Rotago F power harrow and f-drill Maxi Plus front hopper".

Using two 3m toolbars, the 6m f-drill Plus carries a total of 48 CX-II double-entry coulters.

Seed and fertiliser distribution is achieved using dual distribution heads arranged one behind the other, positioned to enable hydraulic folding without interference.

Previously, the widest f-drill Plus toolbar for grain and fertiliser was available as a 4m folding assembly using 32 CX-II double-entry coulters.

6m demand

Kverneland product manager Simon Wills commented on the release, saying: “Having a 6m hydraulic folding, grain and fertiliser option in the f-drill range is something that customers have been asking for.

“This latest version strengthens our product range for those looking to extract maximum output and efficiency from the f-drill, when used with our Rotago F Isobus power harrow.”

The coulterbar design is just one of several upgrades the f-drill series has received as of late.

These include a new hopper version called the f-drill Compact Plus, a dual front camera system with dedicated screen, and a hopper weighing.

The Compact Plus hopper adds a split tank to the dual Eldos metering unit format, to suit either grain and fertiliser, or two seed types.

Previous hopper choices included the Duo, which delivered half-width shut-off.

All f-drill front tank options can now be equipped with a weigh cell option, which can be retro-fitted to existing f-drill combinations.

Hopper sieves have also been revised, and are now lift-out pieces that are divided into four sections to simplify hopper cleaning.

The Norway-based company have not announced when this addition will be available to order.
