Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust Ireland (Nuffield Ireland) has announced that one of Ireland’s “most visionary” agri-food leaders, Denis Brosnan, will deliver the keynote address at the Nuffield Ireland conference.

The conference is taking place on Friday, November 16, at the Castleknock Hotel, Dublin.

Former CEO and chairman of the Kerry Group, Denis Brosnan has been described as “the driving force” behind the multinational food and ingredients company.

Brosnan has also chaired organisations in many other business sectors including equine, sport, community and healthcare.

Nuffield Ireland is an independent organisation which identifies future leaders in the Irish agricultural sector. Through scholarships and international travel the opportunity aims to facilitate the candidate’s ambition to bring about “meaningful change”.

The Irish organisation is part of a global network through its linkages with Nuffield International.

Commenting on the announcement, the chairman of Nuffield Ireland, Geoff Dooley, said: “Brosnan’s name is synonymous with Ireland’s agri-food success story as a result of his leadership and vision at the Kerry Group.

“We are sure that current, past and future Nuffield scholars will have a lot to gain from his insights and expertise and we greatly looking forward to welcoming him to our event on November 16.”

The 2018 Nuffield Ireland conference, sponsored by MSD Animal Health, will also hear from six returning Nuffield scholars who have completed their travels and who will present the findings of their Nuffield reports.

On the evening of the conference, the Nuffield Ireland Conference Dinner, sponsored by AIB Bank, will take place in the same location.

Organisers say this event provides “a valuable networking occasion” for scholars to share their insights and experience during and after their scholarships.

Tickets for the conference and dinner are on sale now on the website. Spaces are limited so interested delegates are advised to book now to avoid disappointment.
