He works with his business partner Michael Donnellan, heading up DG Roofing based in Williamstown, Co. Galway, providing employment for 22 staff.

Upon the announcement of his candidacy, Michael Collins TD, leader of Independent Ireland, expressed his enthusiasm for Cllr. Geraghty’s campaign: “Since his election to the Galway County Council in 2019, Declan has proven himself as an exemplary public servant and a pillar of his community.

“His entrepreneurial spirit, alongside his dedication to public service, evidenced by his local employment initiatives and his proactive approach to problem-solving, underscore his invaluable contribution to our party.

“We are excited and proud to welcome a candidate of Declan’s stature to our expanding team.”
