Members of An Garda Síochána are investigating the theft of a red Yamaha quad from a property in Co. Meath in recent days.

Taking to social media on Saturday, August 8, Gardaí based in Co. Meath said:

“Navan Gardai are investigating the theft of a Quad today in Castletown. The incident occurred between 10:00pm on Friday, August 7, and 6:30am on Saturday, August 8.

It was a Yamaha Kodiak 450 Red with a bar on the front rack that is broken.

“If you can help in any way to get the quad back or saw any suspicious activity in the area call the Gardai on: 046-9036100,” the Garda statement concluded.

Trailers and quad stolen from Longford yard

A reward has been offered for information leading to the recovery of a number of items stolen over the August bank holiday weekend, including trailers, tools and a Honda 400 quad.

Stolen from a yard in Abbeyshrule, Co. Longford, items taken include: a 16ft X 6.5ft tri-axle flatbed trailer “with distinctive features”; a 14ft livestock trailer; an 8ft livestock trailer; a Honda 400 quad; and a number of tools.

The items were taken from Whites Trailers in Abbeyshrule. Taking to social media, Barry White noted that the firm has serial numbers for all of the aforementioned implements.

In a statement on the matter, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed:

Gardaí are investigating an incident of theft that occurred at a premise between Saturday and Monday, August 1 and 3, where a number of trailers and a vehicle were taken.

“No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.”
