Gardaí are investigating after a number of items were stolen when a shed was broken into in Ford Johnson, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan on Sunday, November 3.
During the course of the break in at around 2:30a.m, a Mustang skid steer was stolen (pictured below).
This skid steer was taken away on a trailer was towed by a Toyota land cruiser, according to An Garda Síochána.
Anyone with information or CCTV footage has been asked to contact Monaghan garda station or the garda confidential line.
Gardaí in Co. Meath are also investigating a theft, which involves a stolen Bobcat digger (pictured below) from the New Lanes Cross area of Duleek.
It was taken sometime between 5:00p.m on Wednesday evening, October 30 and 7:00a.m on Thursday, October 31.
Anyone who may have noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles during this time or anyone who knows the whereabouts of this digger has been asked to contact gardaí.
Stolen items
Meanwhile in Co. Donegal, gardaí have made an appeal after an antique anvil was stolen from the Kincasslagh area.
The theft happened some time between January and October this year at The Pier, Kincasslagh, where the antique was taken from an unlocked shed at the location.
Gardaí said that the item is “very heavy” and would have required a number of people to lift it from the premises.
An Garda Síochána in Co. Donegal have encouraged all homeowners to “review their home security regularly”.
The public have been reminded of the following: Lock all doors and windows; Use an alarm even when in the house; Don’t keep large amounts of cash or jewellery in the house; and to ensure that the exterior of a home is well lit up.
