The closing date is Friday for entries to this year’s Tullamore Show and AIB National Livestock Show which takes place on Sunday August 10.
According to organisers the show is the ultimate country lifestyle event, providing a truly authentic cultural experience and which has something for everyone. The programme of events includes competitive and display elements, from ‘the creme de la creme’ of Irish livestock competing for the coveted Gold Medal to the very best in Irish traditions and culture. The 650 trade stands provide hours of opportunity to see the latest in inventions, products, services, food and refreshments.
The Tullamore Show attracts a large attendance of 60,000 from local, national and even international areas. Agriculture was originally the Shows’ main focus, but this has broadened considerably over the years to evolve with Ireland’s changing culture, with entertainment, food, crafts, lifestyle, pets corner, fun etc, the order of the day.
This year for the first time you can skip the queue and buy tickets online at www.tullamoreshow.com as the Show introduces a new buy and scan system for ticket sales. According to Show Secretary Freda Kinnarney said the new online ticket sales option would be a huge help to people on the day, helping ensure they get into the Show as quickly as possible.
