Auction report: Trailers and root-crop equipment plentiful at ‘on-site’ sale
A major ‘on-site‘ machinery dispersal sale (auction) was held on behalf of Coates Contracting at Manor Farm, Kings Lynn, Norfolk (England) recently – on Wednesday, December 6.
The auction comprised of tractors, a telescopic loader and a whole brace of machinery – including a significant haul of root-crop equipment.
We’ve already reported on how the tractors and the lone telescopic handler – a JCB – fared at the sale.

Here, in this follow-up article, we detail the prices achieved by the machinery lots (including a healthy selection of trailers and root-crop equipment).
The sale was conducted by Cheffins – a company that is best known in farming circles for its monthly Cambridge Machinery Sales events.
Tim Scrivener was at the Coates Contracting auction for AgriLand; he sampled the atmosphere, captured these pictures and jotted down the key prices and specifications.
Please note that all of the prices referenced below are in pounds sterling.
All prices are subject to a ‘buyer’s premium’ of 2%. Prices are also, where applicable, subject to VAT at the local rate.
