The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has issued over €14.8 million in scheme payments to farmers this week.
The latest data published by the department shows that the majority of payments were made under the 2024 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).
Over €8.8 million was issued to farmers this week in BISS and CRISS advance payments.
Some 113,527 farmers have now received a total of €527 million through these schemes.
DAFM
In the week up to Friday (November 1), €2.4 million was paid to farmers participating in the 2024 eco-scheme.
Almost €200 million in advance payments have been issued by the department to 111,597 farmers to date.
The data shows that Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS) payments are continuing with €1.4 million paid out under TAMS 3 and €154,000 for TAMS 2 applications.
TAMS 3 total payments now stand at €23.4 million with 2,539 payments made and 3,898 claims submitted.
Over €2 million was issued to farmers in advance payments for the 2024 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC).
Almost 95,000 farmers have now been paid nearly €202 million in these payments.
A further €42,000 was issued this week to participants in the 2023 Organic Farming Scheme (OFS).
3,924 farmers have now been issued with a total of €48.2 million under the scheme.
The department recently confirmed that the OFS has reopened for applications with the deadline for submissions from all sectors falling on Friday, November 29, 2024.
