Check out what’s on offer at some of the upcoming tractor auctions

A number of machinery auctions are set to take place at home and abroad over the coming weeks, with hundreds of lots available.

Cheffins hosts one of the world’s largest monthly machinery and plant sales from its purpose-built saleground in Sutton, Cambridgeshire in the UK.

Its monthly machinery auction is set to take place on Monday, March 6.

Over 200 tractors are set to go under the hammer, with manufacturers such as New Holland, Case IH, Massey Ferguson and John Deere all well represented.

Approximately 80 vintage tractors will also be on offer on the day.

Cheffins’ monthly sale generally attracts a significant amount of interest from Irish buyers, as they look to take advantage of movements in exchange rates.

For buyers looking for a tractor with a bit more speed, there are a number of JCB Fastracs for sale at the auction.

This 7230 P-Tronic model is the newest model on offer. It’s a relatively rare model; it’s unsure what sort of interest it will muster.

Closer to home

Meanwhile, Euroauctions in Dromore, Co. Tyrone, is also holding a number of farm machinery auctions over the coming weeks.

Over 100 classic and vintage tractors will be on offer at an auction set to be held on April 15.

The tractors, which belong to collector John Flynn, are set to go on sale with no reserve prices.

Flynn has amassed a wide and varied collection of tractors over 40 years, including some of Harry Ferguson’s earliest models.

The line-up includes a Ferguson Brown, a Ford Ferguson, a Ford Nan and a Ford Jubilee. There is also a Ferguson prototype, dating back to the foundation of the Coventry Factory at Banner Lane. Also expect to see a David Brown, a Cropmaster, a Super Dexta, a Ford ‘Funk’, a Deutz and a Porsche – or even several examples of many of these.
