Met Éireann is expecting fairly changeable conditions over the coming days, with patches of rain and drizzle in relatively mild conditions.
It will be dry in most areas today (Friday, November 6), with mist, low cloud and any fog patches clearing gradually during the morning. Sunny spells will develop in most areas, but much of Munster will be cloudy, with the chance of a little patchy drizzle developing later, mainly in the southwest.
Cloud will also increase later in parts of south Connacht and south Leinster. Maximum temperatures will be 8° to 12° in light to moderate east to southeast breezes.
Milder, cloudy conditions in Munster, parts of south Leinster and south Connacht will become more widespread later, with patches of mist and drizzle. Winds will be mostly light and easterly or variable.
Tomorrow (Saturday, November 7) will be mostly cloudy, with persistent rain and drizzle developing in southern coastal areas during the morning, extending northwards, but becoming more scattered, with some dry intervals in most parts.
Rain will turn heavier in parts of the south later. Much of Ulster will remain dry until evening. It will be mild, with maximum temperatures of 9° to 14°, in mostly light easterly breezes, fresh along south and southwest coasts.
Sunday (November 8) will be cloudy, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, especially in the north and east during the morning, but dry intervals will develop in most areas during the day. Maximum temperatures should be 11° to 14° or 15°, in light to moderate southeasterly breezes.
A spell of persistent rain will develop in the southwest on Sunday evening, extending northwards on during the night, but becoming patchy. Minimum overnight temperatures will range from 9° to 12°, in moderate southeasterly breezes, fresh on southern coasts.
Monday (November 9) will be mostly overcast, with occasional rain, persistent at times, with a few heavier bursts. It will be mild, with maximum temperatures of 12° to 14°, in mostly moderate southeasterly breezes.
Tuesday (November 10) will be mainly dry, with a few bright spells, but predominantly cloudy, with the possibility of a little patchy light rain and drizzle. It will be mild, with maximum temperatures of 11° to 13°, in mostly light to moderate southerly winds, freshening on west and southwest coasts.
Current indications suggest that it will be changeable and unsettled for the rest of the week, with occasional rain and with the risk of some heavy falls in west and southwest coastal areas.
There will also be good dry intervals and milder than normal. It will be possibly windy around midweek, with fresh southeasterly winds, but lighter winds likely in the second half of the week.
