Carbery has today (Wednesday, December 18), become the latest processor to announce its milk price for November supplies.

The processor said it increased its base milk price for November by 1c/L, excluding VAT.

If this decision is replicated across the four West Cork co-ops; Bandon, Barryroe, Drinagh and Lisavaird, this will result in an average price of 53.15c/L.

This is inclusive of VAT, a 0.88c/L somatic cell count (SCC) bonus and the FutureProof sustainability bonus, both excluding VAT.

A spokesperson for the processor said that dairy market performance “continues to be strong”, with strong supply being matched by steady global demand.

“Particularly for butter and cheese as we near the end of the year. Carbery will continue to monitor markets closely in order to maximise returns for our shareholders,” a Carbery spokesperson said.
