Balers, wrappers and agitators: FTMTA auction prices unveiled
A huge auction of tractors and farm machinery – organised by the Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) – took place on Saturday, September 30, at Punchestown Event Centre near Naas, Co. Kildare.
Machinery enthusiasts, farmers and contractors attended the sale, in the hope of securing a bargain.

Over 250 lots went under the hammer. Some were bought by punters present in the event centre; others were bought by online or phone bidders.

According to Paul Cooke Auctions, over 500 people registered to bid; another 100 registered to bid online – as well as those on the phones.

AgriLand was present, to sample the atmosphere, capture these pictures and to record key prices and specifications of the machinery on offer.
All (hammer/sale) prices accompanying the pictures (below) are subject to a ‘buyer’s premium’:
- Assets sold up to €2,000 – 10% commission
- Assets sold from €2,001 to €10,000 – 7.5% commission
- Assets sold from €10,001 to €50,000 – 5% commission
- Assets sold over €50,001 – 2.5% commission
All prices are subject to VAT at 23%, unless otherwise stated.
