The board of Arrabawn has today (Thursday, September 19), become the latest processor to announce an increase in its milk price for August supplies.
The board decided to increase its milk price for the month of August by 1.25c/L to 47.15c/L based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat.
This is an increase from 45.9c/L paid in July. The quoted milk price for August supplies includes a 0.5c/L sustainability incentive payment, the board of Arrabawn said.
Meanwhile, Tirlán confirmed that it will pay a total of 46.33c/L, including VAT, for August creamery milk supplies at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein. This is an increase of 1.5c/L on the July payment.
Dairygold increased its August quoted milk price by 1.25c/L to 45.75c/L, based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat, inclusive of sustainability and quality bonuses and VAT.
Carbery Group increased its milk price by 3c/L, which, if replicated across the four west Cork co-ops, it will result in an average price of 48.03c/L, inclusive of VAT, a 0.5c/L somatic cell count (SCC) bonus, and the FutureProof sustainability bonus.
Kerry Dairy Ireland, the dairy division of Kerry Group, said that it will pay 45.25c/L, including VAT, at constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat. This marks an increase on the price for July milk, which was 44c/L.
The board of Lakeland Dairies decided to increase its price by 1.25c/L, offering 46.5c/L at standard constituents at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein. This figure is inclusive of a 0.5c/L Sustainability Incentive Payment.
