For almost 90 years, Euronit has been the market’s one stop shop for agri-roofing. It has been manufacturing agricultural sheeting specifically designed for Irish farms.
Formerly known as Tegral, the team manufacture from their factory in Athy, Co. Kildare, and have been the farmer’s choice for generations.
With a wealth of farm buildings knowledge generated over the years, they are proud to be the specialists in protecting your greatest assets – livestock, produce and equipment.
Building optimisation
Building a new farm unit is a significant investment. It takes careful consideration, planning and time.
What way to orientate the building, capacity required and integration with existing farm layout are just some key planning considerations.
Building purpose must also be determined. There’s often an immediate purpose such as upgrading existing infrastructure or adding extra capacity, but there’s also the perhaps less obvious purpose of what the building should bring to the farm once built.
For many farmers, their aim is to build units which make their lives easier, optimise herd health and increase performance. A good way of achieving this aim is to choose the correct roofing material.
At the design stage, a good guiding principle is that ventilation equates to herd health and light equates to performance.
This means that a choice of products and accompanying accessories are vital to optimizing your farm buildings.
Euronit provides all of the current roofing materials and accessories that are available in the market. It is the market’s one-stop-shop.
Agribild plus metal sheeting
Euronit Agribild Plus is Ireland’s most popular and highest form of protective metal sheeting for farm buildings.
Whether it be in its signature colours of Curragh Green or Kilkea Grey, it has been the most tried and trusted agricultural roofing material by Irish farmers for nine decades – and it’s little wonder why.
The material is grant approved, CE certified and comes with a 20-year warranty. AgriBild Plus is available in corrugated profile and box profile, while ventilated side sheets and a full range of accessories round-off the cladding’s offering.
Fibre cement profile
Euronit also offers a fibre cement roofing option called FarmTec. This fact puts Euronit in the unique position as being the only manufacturer of both fibre cement and metal sheeting in the Irish market.
Fibre cement sheets are manufactured from cement and water and reinforced with natural and synthetic fibres.
The material is especially useful in coastal areas that are exposed to salty winds or units where emissions may be higher than normal.
The sheet itself is semi-compressed which means that it can absorb up to 25% of its own weight in rainwater.
It also offers high-performing thermal technology, absorbing heat from the sun on hot days to keep sheds cooler, while retaining heat to keep them warm on cold days.
Like AgriBild Plus, it is also grant approved, CE certified and comes with a warranty of over 20 years.
Thermatec heatguard
The latest addition to the Euronit stable of products is ThermaTec Heatguard.
An innovative and durable solution in the Irish agricultural roofing market, the sheet’s high reflective pigment repels harmful infrared rays from penetrating the farm building’s roof, while simultaneously allowing increased daylight to enter.
Light is the key to animal performance and ThermaTec ensures that building brightness is maximised while always maintaining a stable temperature. The sheet comes in a FarmTec profile so both materials can be installed together.
Coated steel purlins
Euronit is no stranger to the agri purlin market. However, late last year it re-entered the market with a new profile. It now provides a sigma-profile which is much easier to install, more versatile and durable.
Much of this durability is thanks to the purlin’s polyester topcoat. This outer-coating sits on top of a primer which itself sits upon the steel substructure.
This multi-layer build-up offers extra corrosion protection which gives the overall roof structure much more strength, but also a longer life-expectancy.
