ABP secures 25 medals at Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards

ABP Food Group is celebrating a strong performance at the 2026 Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards (IQFDA), securing 25 medals across the event.

This includes 11 gold, nine silver and five bronze awards.

Irish Country Meats, part of ABP Food Group, also secured two medals for its lamb products, with one silver and one bronze award.

ABP also took home two major accolades on the night, with its Irish Wagyu Beef Rib Eye Joint with Marrow Melt named Christmas Beef Product of the Year, while its Irish Hereford Prime Carvery Rib was awarded Foodservice Product of the Year.

The awards follow a good evening from ABP, which had 43 finalists shortlisted across 10 categories.

The food company said that the winning products represented ABP’s expertise across both retail and foodservice, with recognition spanning a broad range of beef and meat categories.

Managing director of ABP Ireland, Jerome Aherne said: “We’re delighted to see ABP recognised with 25 medals at this year’s Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards, alongside the fantastic achievement of winning both Christmas Beef Product of the Year and Foodservice Product of the Year.

“These awards are a great reflection of the quality of the products we produce, the expertise and dedication of our teams and the high standards we strive to deliver across our business.

“To be recognised across such a broad range of categories, with 11 gold awards among our 25 medals, is a fantastic achievement and one we’re very proud of.”

ABP also sponsored the IQFDA gala dinner with its Golden Vale Certified Irish Angus Striploin Beef Roast.

The Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards recognise excellence across Ireland’s food and drink industry, celebrating products for their quality, taste and innovation.
