Circa 61ac of what is described as “excellent quality” farmland with “high value” entitlements in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, for sale by private treaty, are attracting keen interest, according to the agent.

The lands are located at Derrynanool which is less than 9km to Mitchelstown and 19km to Fermoy.

Eamonn O’Brien, of CCM Property, said that the property provides an attractive investment opportunity, with appeal both to active farmers and investment buyers.

“The land is for sale as the owners have relocated to a different region of the country,” the agent commented.

1, 2 or 3 lots

The land is offered to the market in one lot or in three separate lots. Lot 1 is circa 5ac of land with extensive road frontage and access onto the road at two points.

Lot 2 comprises circa 24ac of farmland. Lot 3 is 32ac and includes a five-bay slatted shed incorporating 48 cubicles with automatic scrapers and a large farmyard suitable for further expansion, the agent said.

The farm has been operating a beef finishing unit. The previous owner was able to kill Friesian bullocks off the land without concentrates.

“The lands have relatively high value entitlements attached. The sale process is currently at an advanced stage and should a buyer be interested in acquiring a walk-in farm, they should make contact with us as soon as possible,” said Eamonn.

“CCM Property, as a subsidiary company of Cork Co-Operative marts, is able to connect investor buyers with suitable tenants after a sale has concluded. As a company, our connection with the largest mart infrastructure in Ireland enables a seamless transition into working long-term lease agreements for investor buyers,” the agent said.

The entire 61ac package, including the farm building, is guided at €580,000.
