Temperatures are set to hit the mid-20s this weekend, with Met Eireann forecasting warm and humid conditions on Saturday.

Tomorrow, Thursday, is forecast to be a bright day, with a mix of bright or sunny spells and scattered showers.

The showers will not be as widespread or as heavy as today’s and they’ll die out later. Maximum temperatures tomorrow will range between 17 and 20 Celsius, in a moderate northwesterly breeze.

Met Eireann has said that Thursday night will be mainly dry with clear spells and slackening winds, however, a few showers may affect west and north coasts.

Friday

Friday is forecast to be a mainly dry day but a few showers are still likely to occur in the north and west.

Winds will be mostly light and will turn southwest to south, bringing an increase in temperatures and humidity once more, according to Met Eireann.

Saturday

Very warm and humid conditions are forecast to develop on Saturday as moderate, southerly breezes set in countrywide.

It will be a mainly dry day also, with spells of sunshine, however, Saturday night will see a band of rain crossing the country from the west.

Sunday

Met Eireann has said that these southerly winds will strengthen and then veer westerly by Sunday morning.

Westerly breezes will bring fresher but mainly dry and bright conditions for the rest of the weekend.

Next week’s weather outlook

Current indications suggest that the early days of next week will see a return to changeable weather, with rain developing during Monday.

This rain will then clear to relatively cool, breezy and showery conditions for Tuesday and Wednesday.
