Pig farmers experiencing cashflow difficulties are advised to engage with banks to discuss options, the fourth pig roundtable has heard.
Minister Martin Heydon said that "it is important to maintain and grow our reputation in relation to animal welfare standards" in the pig sector.
The inaugural meeting of the new Pig Roundtable was chaired today (Wednesday, April 28) by Minister of State at the department Martin Heydon.
