A record 525 farmers travelled to Listowel with their hazardous waste last Saturday. 20t of engine oil was collected on the day.
It has been confirmed that the farm hazardous waste collection event in Bandon, Co. Cork, will go ahead tomorrow (October 18) as planned.
Tillage
IPU can no longer be used on farms. Farmers who have IPU in stock should dispose of it at a hazardous waste collection.
Early indications from the farming community for this year's Farm Hazardous Waste Collection Centres are that they will be as busy as previous years.
