Farming

Met Éireann said that drying conditions will be relatively poor in the coming days, while there will be chances for spraying today and Tuesday with generally light winds and dry conditions.

Well drained and moderately drained soils are trafficable in most parts of the country at present with soil moisture deficits (SMDs) of 0 to 5mm.

However, most poorly drained soils are saturated with some areas of the south and west waterlogged.

There will be minimal rainfall over the coming few days but also very limited drying so little change in soil conditions is forecast. Most poorly drained soils will deteriorate becoming waterlogged.
