John Deere will unveil its newest XUV 5 Series Gator utility vehicles over the coming months.
According to the machinery giant, the XUV 560 – which falls into the ‘cross-over’ category of the ‘Deere’ utility selection – is designed to provide the same levels of comfort and versatility as higher-spec machines and has a ground clearance of 267mm. The load capability is 363kg, with a 499kg towing capacity offered by the vehicle.

The standard ROPS (rollover protection structure) is claimed to offer easy entry and exit, and there are three-point seatbelts and grab handles for safety and comfort as standard.
Meanwhile, the slightly larger XUV 590i two-seater and 590i S4 four-seater Gator utility vehicles provide a range of customisation and attachment options.
Other notable features of the Gators are: power steering; a backlit instrument cluster; a large 28L fuel tank; and an 875W/65A alternator “to run auxiliary attachments such as lights and winches without discharging the battery”, the US-founded firm says.
Ground clearance and load/towing capacities of the XUV 590i are the same as the 560. The S4 model has a ground clearance of 236mm, a little lower than the 560, but has a higher load capacity of 544kg – with the rear passenger seat folded down – along with the same 499kg towing capacity.
