Hereford all star award

In other Irish Hereford Breed Society news, last month the Irish Pedigree Cattle All Star Award for 2024 for the Hereford breed was awarded to pedigree registered Hereford bull Country Crest Rob.

Rob, was crowned supreme national Hereford champion 2023 after impressing judge Ms. Carolyn Fletcher from Barwise Herefords UK, and earning the top spot on the day among some of the finest and top-quality Herefords bred in the Republic of Ireland.

Out of nearly 100 Herefords exhibited during the National Show and all of the highest quality, there was no other worthy winner for Ms. Fletcher than Country Crest Rob.

Rob has five stars for both the terminal index and Dairy Beef Index (DBI) along with being superior in looks and power.

He has since been sold to a pedigree Hereford breeder and the society has said it “looks forward to seeing his progeny on the ground later this year and in showrings nationwide into the future”.
