Join us for a series of three Flock Forwards, Not Backwards roadshows to gain practical advice from farmers, vets, and industry leaders on managing sheep parasites and boosting flock health and productivity.
These roadshows will be held on sheep farms across Ireland at the following venues:
With every sheep farm having to deal with parasitic worms, these roadshows aim to provide a learning platform surrounding the current best practice advice.
The recommendations shared at the events will help to reduce the impact of worms, leading to gains in both flock health and productivity.
Both farmers and vets can learn from Ben Strugnell BVM&S Cert PM MRCVS (Farm Post Mortems) as he shares his expertise around post-mortem findings in sheep - a mixture of both parasite issues and other common findings will be discussed.
The evening will also include a workshop on best worm management practices, describing how to effectively control worms responsibly.
The Flock Forwards, Not Backwards events will wrap up with an opportunity for farmers and vets to ask questions of the panel: Ben Strugnell, Cormac White, and Matt Colston – all leaders within the sheep sector.
Farmers can arrive at 6:30p.m for a flame-grilled burger and chips, before the event begins at 7:00p.m.
Additionally, vets are invited to join us at 4pm for vet-focused sessions on engaging with their sheep farmers, case study discussions, as well as a session on ticks and blowfly.
A special thanks to the farmers hosting our upcoming roadshows.
