The Championships are set to take place at the Iverk Show, at Piltown, Co. Kilkenny on August 22.
The 2026 edition of the Iverck Show marks the 200th anniversary of the event.
The ABP Beef Bull of the Future Championships offers a total prize fund of €40,000 and 105 prizes are up for grabs on the day too.
Building on the success of the inaugural Beef Bulls of the Future Championships in 2025, this year's programme will feature both bull and heifer categories.
The total prize fund is divided as follows:
- ABP Beef Bull of the Future Championships: €30,000;
- ABP Female Championships: €8,000;
- Tesco Finest Best in Breed: €2,000.
Speaking to Agriland ahead of the competition, ABP's agri-sustainability manager, Stephen Connolly, encouraged farmers with eligible cattle to enter the respective classes to be in with a chance of winning a share of the impressive prize fund.
"Our research clearly demonstrates the significant benefits that improved genetics can deliver in terms of farm efficiency, animal performance, and environmental sustainability."

Last year's event saw over 100 bulls exhibited with the Overall ABP Beef Bull of the Future Champion title awarded to Tara Jubilee Eric A073 - a September 2024 born Angus bull owned by Malachy Tighe from Co. Meath.
The Reserve ABP Beef Bull of the Future Champion title went to August 2024 born Hereford bull Gurteragh Superstar 1156 PH owned by Michael O Keeffe from Gurteragh, Co. Cork.
